Billing and Digital Services Engineer

About the role

Digicel Pacific is looking for a Billing and Digital Services Engineer to ensure the stability, performance and continuous improvement of its Value Added Services (VAS), Digital Services and associated Business Support Systems (BSS). The role will support the launch of new products, bundles and campaigns through configuration, integration, monitoring and automation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end operations, monitoring and support of VAS, Digital Services and BSS platforms.
• Configure and launch products, bundles, promotions, campaigns, subscriptions, charging rules and service parameters.
• Support prepaid and postpaid charging, rating, billing, balance management and recurring revenue transactions.
• Maintain digital channels such as Self‑Care apps, web portals, USSD and SMS services.
• Monitor service performance, availability, transaction success rates, latency and customer‑impacting KPIs.
• Troubleshoot API integrations (REST, SOAP, SMPP) and perform SQL queries, database and Linux/Unix system analysis.
• Drive automation for operational tasks, reporting, provisioning and health checks.
• Provide L2/L3 support, conduct root‑cause analysis and coordinate with vendors for incidents, upgrades and new implementations.

Required profile

• BSc Degree or Diploma in IT, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years experience with Telecom IT, VAS, Digital Services or BSS platforms.
• At least 12 months experience working with Linux operating systems and database technologies.
• Experience in charging, billing, CRM and telecom service delivery environments is highly desirable.
