Business Intelligence Analyst - Commercial

About the role

Reporting to the Head of Business Intelligence & Analytics, the Business Intelligence Analyst - Commercial will transform data into actionable insights that support strategic and operational decision‑making across the organisation. The role focuses on data analysis, visualisation and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, analyse, and interpret data to support business performance monitoring and forecasting.
• Design and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau or Qlik.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into analytical outputs.
• Ensure data integrity, consistency, and accuracy across business systems.
• Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies to support operational and strategic decisions.
• Document data definitions, logic, and methodologies for transparency.
• Work with IT and data teams to enhance data models and reporting infrastructure.
• Conduct deep‑dive analyses of customer transaction patterns to uncover upselling opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analyst or Reporting Analyst roles.
• Experience with Mobile Financial Services, FinTech or banking data is preferred.
• Strong understanding of wallet‑to‑wallet transfers, cash‑in/cash‑out, agent commissions and float management.

Required skills

• Power BI, Tableau or Qlik for data visualisation.
• SQL – writing complex, optimised queries on large datasets.
• Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
• Data‑warehousing concepts.
• Python or R for predictive analytics.
• ETL processes – extracting, transforming and loading data.
