Communications Media and Outreach Coordinator

About the role

The Communications Media and Outreach Coordinator will lead the creation and distribution of clear, accurate communications that showcase ChildFund PNG’s impact. Working closely with the Country Director and program teams, the role ensures that stories of children and communities are shared responsibly and effectively.

Key responsibilities

• Support the development and implementation of communications and visibility strategies aligned with organisational priorities.
• Produce high‑quality content such as stories, articles, newsletters, case studies and reports for internal and external audiences.
• Coordinate digital and social media content, monitor engagement and use analytics to improve outreach.
• Manage media relations, prepare releases, talking points and support interviews for senior staff.
• Document program achievements through written stories, photography and video, ensuring donor visibility requirements are met.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, International Development or a related field.
• Minimum five years of relevant experience in communications, media, journalism or public relations, preferably within NGOs or development organisations.
• Strong writing, editing and storytelling abilities with a focus on ethical representation of vulnerable groups.
