Communications Officer

About the role

The Communications Officer will shape the voice of Kina Bank, creating high‑quality content that enhances reputation, engages staff, and tells the stories that define the organisation. Working closely with multiple departments, you will ensure communications are clear, creative and aligned with the bank’s values and ambitions.

Key responsibilities

• Produce well‑researched, insightful stories for internal and external audiences highlighting the bank’s achievements.
• Design and implement internal communication initiatives that keep employees informed and motivated.
• Prepare accurate, timely media statements and manage the content clearance process.
• Create high‑quality content for social media, intranet, website and press releases.
• Maintain consistent messaging and branding across all departments of the Kina Securities Ltd Group.
• Use diverse media tools to protect and promote the bank’s reputation.
• Support planning and delivery of events that boost visibility and community engagement.
• Contribute to communication plans that align with broader marketing efforts.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in news writing or public relations; banking or finance experience is a plus.
• Proactive, self‑starting attitude with strong understanding of PNG’s media landscape and cultural dynamics.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign).
• Experience using digital marketing tools.
• Basic photography skills.
• Basic videography skills.
