Data Analyst – APSP Program

About the role

The APSP Data Analyst will support the Australia‑PNG Subnational Program (APSP) by managing and sustaining its new Management Information System (MIS) and related reporting tools. Based in Port Moresby, the role reports to the APSP Performance and Learning Lead and ensures that performance and operational data are accurate, complete, and readily available for decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Administer, configure, maintain and regularly update the MIS, registers, trackers, dashboards and reporting tools.
• Coordinate data migration, upload, cleaning, validation and routine updates across program components, partners and surveys.
• Develop, maintain and improve MIS‑generated reports, dashboards and Excel‑based reporting tools that visualise performance, indicators, milestones, geographic coverage and beneficiary reach.
• Provide user guidance, practical support and quality‑assurance to ensure consistent and audit‑ready use of the MIS.

Required profile

• Practical experience in data management, analytics, visualization and reporting within a program or project environment.
• Ability to work closely with program teams, partners and support services to ensure data quality and usability.
