Heavy Equipment Operator – Mining

About the role

Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, you will ensure the safe and efficient delivery of drilling pads to support K92's exploration drilling programs.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain mini excavators and skid‑steer loaders in line with K92 plant procedures.
• Conduct pre‑start inspections and basic troubleshooting to identify potential equipment issues.
• Construct drill pads, helipads and access walkways in a mountainous exploration environment.
• Monitor the condition of work pads and surrounding areas to maintain safety and stability.

Required profile

• Class Four driver’s licence permitting excavator operation on public roads.
• Experience operating excavators smaller than 20 tonnes.
• Commitment to safety.
• Ability to work autonomously with limited supervision.
• General knowledge of mobile equipment.
