ICT Coordinator – Port Moresby, PNG

About the role

We are looking for an ICT Coordinator to provide high-quality ICT support and customer service for our operations in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea, and to assist the Pacific Australia Skills programme in building ICT capacity among local partners.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high-level internal and external customer service for all ICT matters.
• Perform regular preventive and corrective maintenance on endpoints, network hardware, telephone and other communication equipment.
• Support the ICT Manager in ensuring ICT services meet staff needs and collaborate with local ICT staff or service providers to resolve issues.
• Monitor backup cycles for the PNG Country Office and other requested locations.
• Oversee firewalls and security applications to block unwanted traffic and prevent network intrusions.
• Identify and mitigate critical risks to protect data integrity.
• Co-manage the Helpdesk Management System, handling ticket assignment, escalations, SLA compliance and reporting.
• Execute server patching and routine maintenance as directed.

Required profile

• Experience in providing ICT support in a multi-site environment.
• Ability to mentor and coach partner TVET institution staff on ICT skills.
• Strong problem-solving attitude and capacity to work independently in Port Moresby.
