Intermediate & Advanced Rigger (FIFO) – Gold Mine, PNG

About the role

Brunel International is looking for experienced Intermediate to Advanced Riggers to join a FIFO team at a leading gold‑mine operation in Papua New Guinea. The position offers a challenging environment where rigging expertise supports a dynamic fixed‑plant mining operation.

Key responsibilities

• Perform safe and efficient rigging of equipment and machinery required for mining activities.
• Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to plan and execute lifting operations.
• Ensure all rigging work complies with Australian, PNG and industry safety standards and site procedures.
• Conduct load calculations and verify rigging configurations before each lift.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an Intermediate or Advanced Rigger, preferably in mining or heavy industry.
• Current rigging certifications and tickets meeting Australian and PNG safety regulations.
• Previous FIFO experience on remote mine sites is highly desirable.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, plans and drawings.
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety and physically fit for demanding outdoor work.
