Mobile Maintenance Coordinator

About the role

We are seeking a Mobile Maintenance Coordinator to lead our workshop and mobile fleet maintenance team at K92 Mining’s Kainantu Gold Mine. The role involves mentoring the national workforce, ensuring equipment uptime, and driving safety and efficiency across the mobile maintenance department.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily workshop activities through Mobile Maintenance Supervisors.
• Delegate tasks, provide technical assistance and guidance to sub‑ordinates.
• Liaise with senior maintenance leadership on planned maintenance programmes.
• Maintain stock levels, place orders and implement cost‑control measures.
• Report and rectify hazardous conditions and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Organise and document weekly safety toolbox meetings and training sessions.
• Monitor, evaluate and coach staff performance; take disciplinary action when required.
• Respond to employee inquiries, complaints and emergency situations.
• Perform any other duties directed by the Mobile Maintenance Superintendent.

Required profile

• Relevant trade qualification in Heavy Equipment Fitting, Auto Electrical or Automation (minimum Certificate III).
• At least 10 years of experience in underground mobile fleet maintenance, preferably with Sandvik and Caterpillar equipment.
• Proven ability to plan, assign, direct and coordinate a range of functional specialties.
• Strong understanding of maintenance best practices, stock management and safety regulations.
