NDT Technician II – Level II Non-Destructive Testing

About the role

The Level II NDT Technician performs non‑destructive testing across qualified methods, handling equipment setup, calibration, testing, interpretation and reporting. Work is performed under Level III supervision and must comply with Oceaneering HSE procedures, client requirements and applicable codes and standards.

Key responsibilities

• Implement Oceaneering’s HSE Management System and ensure compliance with local regulations.
• Select appropriate NDT techniques from approved processes and define their application limitations.
• Set up, calibrate and verify NDT equipment before each test.
• Interpret test results against standards, codes, specifications and procedures.
• Prepare written NDT instructions, worksheets and detailed reports.
• Carry out and supervise tasks at or below NDT Technician Level II.
• Complete NDT worksheets and reports accurately and perform other reasonable duties as directed by management.

Required profile

• Relevant State Radiation Licence (desirable).
• Welding Inspection certification (desirable).
• ISO 9712 Level II Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) or equivalent.
• ISO 9712 Level II Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT) or equivalent.
• Radiographic Testing (RT) and/or Ultrasonic Testing (UT) qualification.
• Eddy Current Welds (ETW) qualification (desirable).
• Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC).
