About the role
The Project Administrative and Finance Analyst will support the Forest, Climate Change and Biodiversity SRBC Accelerator, a joint UNDP‑FAO initiative in Papua New Guinea. The analyst will provide administrative, financial and reporting assistance to strengthen institutional capacity of climate‑related authorities and ensure effective use of public investment financing.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation, monitoring and reporting of project budgets and financial statements.
- Support the development and submission of Public Investment Programme (PIP) proposals and related documentation.
- Coordinate administrative procedures, procurement processes and contract management in line with UNDP policies.
- Maintain project records, databases and climate‑biodiversity data systems.
- Provide logistical and secretarial support for meetings, workshops and stakeholder engagements.
- Monitor compliance with environmental governance standards and donor requirements.
Required profile
- University degree in finance, economics, public administration or a related field.
- Experience working in development projects, preferably in climate change, forestry or biodiversity sectors.
- Familiarity with UNDP administrative and financial procedures.
- Strong analytical and organizational abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
