Senior Communication Associate (G-7) – Fixed Term, Port Moresby

About the role

The Senior Communication Associate will support the development and implementation of UNICEF Papua New Guinea’s digital strategy, aligning with the Communication and Advocacy Strategy to promote children’s rights and fundraising objectives. The role also focuses on engaging adolescents and young people through digital platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Support the development of the digital strategy.
• Support the implementation of the digital strategy.
• Assist in preparing online campaigns.
• Manage country office backend portals and content.
• Support monitoring and evaluation of digital activities.
• Provide administrative assistance as needed.

Required profile

• Completion of secondary education, preferably supplemented with courses in social communication, digital communication, social marketing or multimedia.
• At least 7 years of experience in digital communication, social media, marketing or youth engagement, using platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Flickr, YouTube or Vimeo.

Required skills

• Strong technical skills in multimedia content creation across print, audio, video and web channels, including graphic design using Canva and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Experience with social media management and analytics tools, reporting, performance monitoring, and website administration using HTML, WordPress and Drupal CMS platforms.
