Senior Project Manager

About the role

The Senior Project Manager will own the end‑to‑end implementation lifecycle for a portfolio of government and development‑partner projects in Papua New Guinea. Reporting to the Head of Implementation, the role coordinates engineering, product and external partners to deliver solutions on time and to specification.

Key responsibilities

• Take structured handover from Sales and Partnerships, capture commitments and terms.
• Develop and own delivery plans from contract execution to go‑live, defining milestones, dependencies and acceptance criteria.
• Coordinate engineering, product teams and any implementation partners required to execute the plan.
• Maintain a live delivery dashboard visible to sales, partnerships and executives.
• Identify, escalate and mitigate risks to delivery timelines before they become stakeholder issues.
• Manage day‑to‑day relationships with government counterparts and development partners, ensuring compliance with contract and grant conditions.

Required profile

• Six or more years of project management experience delivering complex, multi‑stakeholder technology implementations.
• Demonstrated record of scope management, milestone tracking and stakeholder communication on live projects.
• Working knowledge of PNG public sector, provincial administration or development‑partner contracting models.
• High level of spoken and written English suitable for formal donor and client reporting.
• Experience in GovTech, digital public infrastructure or international development programmes.

Required skills

• Proficiency with project‑management tools such as Jira, Asana or Linear.
• Familiarity with agile delivery practices and sprint planning.
