SMP QA/QC Supervisor – FIFO contract in PNG

About the role

Brunel International is seeking an experienced SMP QA/QC Supervisor to lead quality assurance and control activities during the construction of a process plant at a mine site in Papua New Guinea. The position is FIFO on a 12‑month contract with the possibility of extension.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and maintain the SMP QA/QC plan for the process plant construction.
• Conduct inspections, audits and quality checks on materials, workmanship and documentation.
• Coordinate with site engineers, contractors and suppliers to resolve quality issues.
• Report non‑conformances and manage corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with site safety, environmental policies and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate records and prepare quality reports for management review.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a QA/QC Supervisor on process plant construction, preferably in mining or industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of Standard Methods and Procedures (SMP) and quality assurance systems.
• Experience working on remote mine sites, ideally in Papua New Guinea or similar environments.
• Ability to work FIFO with a 12‑month roster and adapt to challenging site conditions.
• Relevant qualifications in engineering, quality management or related disciplines.
• Current safety certifications and willingness to comply with site‑specific safety requirements.
