Traffic Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Traffic Engineer to support planning, design and implementation of major highway, bridge and road infrastructure projects. The role involves conducting traffic studies, forecasting demand and developing traffic management strategies to ensure safe and efficient movement of people and goods.

Key responsibilities

• Provide traffic engineering input during feasibility, preliminary and detailed design phases.
• Develop road signage, pavement markings and wayfinding systems.
• Prepare traffic demand forecasts using established transport planning methodologies.
• Develop future-year traffic projections considering population growth, economic development and land‑use changes.
• Coordinate with project stakeholders to ensure alignment of traffic solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Transportation Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in traffic growth analysis, modelling and intelligent transportation systems, preferably on MDB‑funded projects.
• Strong communication skills in English.
