Aviation Operator – Fuel Storage & Aircraft Refuelling

About the role

The Aviation Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating the fuel storage facility and aircraft refuelling activities at the airport. This frontline role interacts directly with customers, airport authorities and internal teams to meet fuelling requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, store and handle aviation fuel, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
• Perform visual inspections, seal checks, sampling and documentation of incoming consignments.
• Operate mobile and fixed fuelling equipment, load refuelling vehicles and refuel aircraft.
• Maintain records of stock, quality checks, equipment maintenance and incident reports.
• Carry out equipment maintenance, cleaning and general housekeeping under the direction of the Depot Manager or Duty Supervisor.

Required profile

• Grade 12 certificate or equivalent and a valid Heavy Duty Licence for required vehicles.
• Ability to work under pressure, follow directions and adhere to HSE and quality procedures.

Required skills

• Heavy Duty Licence.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of safety standards and operating procedures.
• Aircraft refuelling techniques (training provided).
• Basic understanding of quality control and documentation processes.
