Community & Engagement Specialist

About the role

Westpac Bank PNG is looking for a Community & Engagement Specialist to help deliver programs that create social impact, strengthen financial capability, and connect people across the branch network. Reporting to the Manager, Community & Engagement, you will support the execution of community initiatives and contribute to the bank’s ESG goals.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver financial education and capability‑building programmes through face‑to‑face and online training.
• Support planning and delivery of community projects, business events, sponsorships and signature initiatives such as the Westpac Outstanding Women Awards.
• Engage employees and customers through local area marketing and community programmes across the branch network.
• Provide community training for bankers and encourage their participation in programmes.
• Tailor financial capability programmes for target audiences and assess their effectiveness.
• Collaborate with partners and interest groups to promote financial capability.
• Collate data and provide commentary for half‑year and full‑year community and ESG reporting.
• Work with Pacific Corporate Affairs and Marketing to promote achievements and raise awareness of Westpac’s community contribution.
• Manage events to a high standard, within agreed timeframes and budgets.

• Capable of translating complex information into clear, practical messages.
• Committed to maintaining strong governance standards and working across diverse teams and locations.
