About the role
The Economic Empowerment & Resilience Specialist will strengthen World Vision PNG’s livelihood and resilience programmes, ensuring they deliver measurable impact for vulnerable children and families. The role combines programme design, monitoring, capacity building and stakeholder engagement across government, donor and community partners.
Key responsibilities
- Design and refine resilience and livelihood strategies, aligning them with organisational goals and national policies.
- Monitor programme and project outcomes, facilitate evidence‑based learning and drive continuous improvement.
- Lead contextual analyses of economic policy, food security and nutrition issues affecting target groups.
- Provide technical capacity building for staff, partners, producer groups and cooperatives, including climate‑smart agriculture and value‑chain development.
- Support reporting at outcome, impact and financial levels, preparing quarterly progress and narrative reports.
- Represent World Vision PNG in inter‑agency meetings, build relationships with government, donors and private sector partners.
- Contribute technical input to grant proposals and the Grant Acquisition Business Plan.
Required profile
- Proven experience in designing, implementing and monitoring economic empowerment or resilience programmes.
- Strong analytical skills to conduct policy and food‑security assessments.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver capacity‑building workshops for diverse stakeholder groups.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting and advocacy.
- Experience working in PNG or similar Pacific contexts is an advantage.
