FIFO Cost Controller – Mining Site, Papua New Guinea

About the role

Brunel International is looking for an experienced FIFO Cost Controller to join its mining operation in Papua New Guinea. The role involves managing project costs, ensuring budget compliance, and supporting financial efficiency on a remote mine site.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and control project expenditures against the approved budget.
• Prepare cost forecasts, budgets, and detailed financial reports.
• Collaborate with project managers, finance teams, and on‑site personnel to track spending.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities and support resource allocation decisions.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and site regulations.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Cost Controller, preferably in FIFO mining environments.
• Strong knowledge of cost control processes, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Experience working on mine sites, ideally in Papua New Guinea or similar remote locations.
• Ability to thrive in FIFO work arrangements and challenging remote settings.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
