Head of Engagement

About the role

The Head of Engagement will shape the external environment in Papua New Guinea by building influential partnerships, leading strategic engagement initiatives, and advancing advocacy priorities that support business success.

Key responsibilities

• Lead development and delivery of stakeholder engagement strategies that strengthen relationships and advance business priorities.
• Build trusted partnerships with government agencies, regulators, industry leaders and external organisations.
• Shape and implement advocacy initiatives influencing regulatory, fiscal and policy discussions.
• Provide strategic insights on emerging political, regulatory and market developments.
• Develop compelling engagement strategies, thought‑leadership materials, executive briefings and stakeholder communications.
• Represent the organisation with credibility and professionalism across diverse partner groups.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams to solve complex challenges and deliver integrated solutions.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading stakeholder engagement, government relations, public policy or corporate affairs initiatives.
• Demonstrated success building influential relationships with senior leaders in government, regulatory and private‑sector environments.
• Strong analytical capability and strategic mindset with ability to translate complex issues into clear recommendations.
• Ability to collaborate across teams, build alignment and influence outcomes in a matrix environment.
