Head of Site Infrastructure & Services – Mining

About the role

The Head of Site Infrastructure & Services will lead the planning, construction, maintenance and operational management of all site infrastructure and essential services for a remote mining operation in Mave, Central Province, Papua New Guinea. Reporting to senior leadership, the role works closely with mining operations, logistics, procurement and contractors to ensure safe, reliable and continuous site performance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the planning, design and delivery of infrastructure projects such as accommodation camps, workshops, warehouses, roads, drainage, bridges and other operational facilities.
• Manage site utilities including power generation, water supply, wastewater treatment, fuel storage and related services to guarantee uninterrupted mining activity.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance programmes for buildings, mechanical facilities, workshops and camp infrastructure.
• Supervise multidisciplinary maintenance teams, contractors and external service providers, ensuring work is performed safely and to project specifications.
• Monitor project schedules, budgets, contractor performance and engineering quality to achieve timely delivery and optimal resource use.
• Coordinate closely with mining operations, logistics, procurement and executive leadership to align infrastructure support with production goals.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading large, multidisciplinary teams in remote mining or similar heavy‑industrial environments.
• Strong track record of delivering complex infrastructure projects on time and within budget.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety, environmental compliance and engineering excellence.
• Ability to work effectively with senior executives, contractors and cross‑functional stakeholders.
