Head of Site Infrastructure & Services – Mining

About the role

The Head of Site Infrastructure & Services will lead the planning, construction, maintenance and operation of all critical infrastructure supporting remote mining activities in Mave, Central Province, Papua New Guinea. Reporting to senior leadership, the role ensures reliable utilities, accommodation, roads and facilities that enable safe and uninterrupted production.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, delivery and commissioning of infrastructure projects such as camps, workshops, warehouses, roads, drainage, bridges and operational facilities.
• Manage site utilities including power generation, water supply, wastewater treatment, fuel storage and related services.
• Develop and oversee preventative maintenance programmes for buildings, mechanical systems, workshops and camp assets.
• Supervise multidisciplinary maintenance teams, contractors and external service providers, ensuring safety and quality standards.
• Control project schedules, budgets, contractor performance and engineering quality to achieve timely delivery.
• Coordinate closely with mining operations, logistics, procurement and executive leadership to align infrastructure with production needs.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in managing large‑scale infrastructure projects in remote or mining environments.
• Proven leadership of multidisciplinary teams and contractors.
• Strong understanding of safety, environmental and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
