Human Resources Manager

About the role

The HR Manager will lead the Human Resources function across CHM Group, supporting a diverse workforce in retail, commercial, property, music and energy divisions. Working closely with senior management, you will shape people practices, develop HR systems and drive a strong performance culture.

Key responsibilities

• Lead recruitment, onboarding and workforce planning across the Group.
• Manage employee relations, contracts and HR compliance.
• Oversee performance management, staff development and training initiatives.
• Develop and strengthen HR policies, systems and processes.
• Collaborate with Finance on payroll processing and HR reporting.
• Drive employee engagement, well‑being and workplace culture initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of HR experience, including senior or management roles.
• Proven ability to manage a broad HR function in a multi‑site or diversified organisation.
• Strong communication, leadership and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Sound judgement, problem‑solving ability and a proactive, hands‑on approach.
• Knowledge of PNG employment legislation is advantageous but not essential.
