Junior Finance Officer – Bougainville, PNG

About the role

We are a metals and mining company seeking a Junior Finance Officer to support our finance team on‑site in Bougainville, Papua New Guinea. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on experience with core accounting processes in a dynamic mining environment.

Key responsibilities

• Process day‑to‑day finance and accounting tasks such as invoicing, reconciliations, and expense tracking.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Maintain accurate financial records and contribute to internal reporting.
• Collaborate with the finance team on budgeting and cash‑flow monitoring.
• Support compliance with local financial regulations and any mining‑sector reporting requirements.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
• 1–3 years of experience in a finance or accounting role; exposure to mining, resources, or industrial sectors is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Currently based in Papua New Guinea and willing to be assigned to Bougainville.
• Open to candidates of all nationalities.
