Mission Home Attendant – Daru, Papua New Guinea

About the role

The Mission Home Attendant supports the Daru mission by maintaining a clean, welcoming environment for missionaries, visitors, and church members. Working under the facility manager and mission leadership, the role ensures the mission home operates smoothly and respectfully.

Key responsibilities

• Perform housekeeping tasks such as cleaning kitchens, floors, restrooms, dusting, waste removal, and linen changes.
• Assist with meal preparation for visitors, special meetings, and daily needs under the direction of the mission president’s wife.
• Provide child‑care assistance when requested by mission leadership.
• Support laundry duties for mission residents.
• Carry out any additional duties assigned by the mission president or his wife.

Required profile

• Entry‑level position; no specialized training required.
• Domestic care experience preferred, especially for homemakers or those with housekeeping, cooking, or child‑care background.
• Willingness to work under direction of mission leadership and follow established schedules.
