Programme Analyst – UNFPA PNG

About the role

The Programme Analyst supports the Technical Specialist – GBV and SARV in delivering UNFPA’s programme portfolio in Papua New Guinea. The role provides operational, reporting and coordination assistance to ensure interventions are implemented effectively and align with UNFPA standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide operational and administrative support for programme implementation, including maintaining project tracking tools, risk registers and procurement logs.
• Assist in drafting and consolidating routine progress reports for donors and UN mechanisms, and compile field data for monitoring systems such as UNFPA SIS and Quantum.
• Support inter‑agency coordination by documenting joint programme meetings, scheduling actions and aligning activities with UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework results groups.
• Participate in field monitoring missions, update visual dashboards and ensure data quality for senior management decision‑making.

Required profile

• Advanced university degree (master’s or equivalent) in Project Management, International Development, Public Health, Social Sciences or related field.
• Minimum two years of professional experience in project management, coordination or monitoring/reporting within gender‑based violence, protection or humanitarian‑development programmes.
