Surface Haulage Supervisor

About the role

The Surface Haulage Supervisor will lead personnel and equipment to meet and exceed haulage service targets at K92's Kainantu Gold Mine. You will work closely with the Surface Haulage Services Project Manager to ensure operational requirements are met and continuous improvement is driven.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise crews and equipment to achieve haulage production goals.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, policies, mining regulations and environmental standards.
• Optimize resources, monitor safety performance and provide clear shift‑by‑shift direction.
• Coordinate with maintenance and technical teams to maximise equipment availability.
• Maintain accurate shift records, production data, incident reports and personnel performance metrics.
• Conduct pre‑starts, toolbox talks and job hazard analyses, fostering a strong safety culture.
• Support team development through training, feedback and disciplinary actions when required.

Required profile

• Minimum Grade 10 certificate.
• Understanding of Mine Duty of Care requirements.
• Strong people, time‑management and supervisory abilities.
• Extensive knowledge of an Environmental Management System relevant to mining.
• Leadership qualities and ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
• Good command of English, both written and verbal.
• Ability to read and interpret production schedules (daily tonnage, haulage plans, etc.).
