NDT Technician II

About the role

The NDT Technician II performs Level II non‑destructive testing inspections across qualified methods, working under Level III supervision. The role includes equipment setup, calibration, testing, interpretation, reporting and ensuring compliance with codes, standards, client requirements and Oceaneering HSE procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Perform Level II NDT inspections across qualified testing methods, including equipment setup, calibration, testing, interpretation and reporting.
• Prepare written instructions, NDT worksheets and detailed reports ensuring compliance with codes, standards, client requirements and Oceaneering HSE procedures.
• Select appropriate NDT techniques, define application limitations and translate codes into practical work instructions.
• Set up, calibrate and verify NDT equipment, interpret results against applicable standards and supervise tasks at or below Technician Level II.
• Ensure full implementation of Oceaneering’s HSE Management System and compliance with local regulations.

Required profile

• ISO 9712 Level II certification in Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) or equivalent.
• ISO 9712 Level II certification in Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT) or equivalent.
• Experience with Radiographic Testing (RT) and/or Ultrasonic Testing (UT).
• Desirable: Eddy Current Weld Testing (ETW), State Radiation Licence, Welding Inspection, Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC).
