Audit Associate – Assurance

About the role

EY is looking for an Audit Associate to join its Assurance team in Papua New Guinea. You will receive structured training and development to help you build a better working world for clients and communities.

Key responsibilities

• Support audit processes, addressing audit risk and accounting technical matters such as revenue, financial instruments and income taxes.
• Engage with clients professionally, offering advice and identifying improvement opportunities in business processes.
• Assist with fieldwork, work efficiently within the audit team, and keep managers informed on engagement progress.
• Develop an understanding of current market trends and audit methodologies.

Required profile

• A relevant university degree.
• Progress towards or completion of a recognised accounting qualification (CA or CPA).
• 18 months to 2 years of experience delivering external audit and assurance engagements.
• Experience in planning, executing and reporting on audits.
• Proven ability to develop and maintain client relationships.
• Strong communication and collaborative skills.
