Branch Manager – Tabubil

About the role

Reporting to the Area Manager – Retail, the Branch Manager in Tabubil is accountable for overall branch performance, encompassing customer service, business growth, operational risk, and people leadership. The role involves building strong community relationships, developing new business opportunities, and fostering a service culture that delivers positive outcomes for customers while supporting and developing the team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day branch operations to ensure efficient, safe and compliant banking services.
• Drive growth in deposits, lending and customer relationships to meet branch business objectives.
• Coach, develop and motivate employees to build a high‑performing, customer‑focused team.
• Embed a strong sales and service culture through regular training, guidance and performance leadership.
• Manage operational risk and compliance, including customer identification, anti‑money laundering and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Build positive local relationships that strengthen Westpac’s community profile and support business growth.
• Ensure adherence to internal policies and external regulatory standards.
• Oversee staff scheduling, cash handling and branch security procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum two years’ experience in retail banking.
• Sound knowledge of banking regulation, risk management and compliance requirements.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and relationship‑building abilities.
• Demonstrated capability to lead, coach and motivate team members.
• Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
• A degree in business administration or finance is preferred.
• Strong leadership, planning, organizational and decision‑making capabilities.
