Business Development Manager – Logistics & Freight Forwarding

About the role

We are looking for a senior Business Development Manager to lead strategic growth for our logistics and freight forwarding services. The role focuses on building high‑value partnerships with enterprise clients across industries that require complex, large‑scale transport solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, target and acquire new enterprise clients needing specialized ocean shipping, road transport and cargo tracking.
• Leverage existing networks and cultivate relationships with C‑suite executives, logistics heads and procurement decision‑makers.
• Conduct consultative selling by analysing complex supply‑chain needs and proposing tailored project‑logistics solutions.
• Monitor regional shipping trends, trade routes and competitor activity to position the company as the partner of choice.
• Collaborate with operations, tender management and global trade teams to prepare winning proposals and ensure seamless onboarding.

Required profile

• 8–10 years of business development or sales experience in logistics, freight forwarding or supply‑chain tracking.
• Proven network of senior‑level contacts in shipping, manufacturing, energy or capital‑project sectors.
• Track record of closing high‑value contracts and delivering consistent revenue growth.
• Strong negotiation, presentation and executive‑level communication skills.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of ocean freight and road transport operations.
• Understanding of customs clearance processes.
• Experience with real‑time cargo tracking technologies.
