Depot Foreman

About the role

The Depot Foreman will supervise safe, secure and accurate manual palletising of finished products at the Port Moresby depot, reporting to the Depot Supervisor. The role ensures proper stock handling, accurate inventory counts and compliance with warehouse safety procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Perform opening and closing stock counts, register stock movements and conduct regular inventory checks.
• Plan staffing and resources for each shift, monitor shift productivity and ensure execution of shift activities.
• Carry out forklift checks, sign‑off and maintain equipment readiness.
• Maintain adequate spacing in the warehouse, ensure availability of quality pallets and label stocks correctly.
• Enforce FIFO/LIFO stock rotation and segregate blocked stock from good stock.
• Oversee daily shift stock counts and forward count sheets to the Depot Supervisor for entry.
• Re‑pack palletised breakages according to the Breakages Repacking Procedure.

Required profile

• Higher School Certificate or college qualification with supervisory and stock‑control experience, preferably with an accounting background.
• Demonstrated supervisory and planning skills with strong operational safety awareness.
• Class 7 Forklift License (mandatory).
• Experience in warehouse inventory management and stock‑take procedures.
