Finance & Accounting Coordinator

About the role

World Vision is seeking a motivated Finance & Accounting Coordinator to support the Western Highlands Province Area Program Office and the Country Office Program. The role focuses on budget control, financial reporting, and donor grant management to ensure accountability and effective use of resources.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit accurate financial reports in line with GAAP, World Vision, and donor requirements.
• Provide monthly financial information to project managers for monitoring and decision‑making.
• Offer technical advice on grant proposal budgets and revise existing grant budgets as needed.
• Build capacity of non‑finance staff on donor and grant regulations.
• Maintain complete grant documentation from proposal to final reporting.
• Conduct periodic visits to sub‑recipients and partners to verify compliance.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors and implement audit recommendations.
• Perform any other duties assigned by Grant Finance Managers or Operations Supervisors.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting or Accounting Technician competency (PNGIA/Business Management and Accounting).
• 3‑5 years of experience in Global Fund financial management.
• Committed Christian able to work across denominational diversities.
• Physically fit with no underlying medical conditions.
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Sun system or other accounting software.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Knowledge of Global Fund guidelines.
• Experience with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
