Inventory Manager

About the role

CHM Group, a long‑standing PNG company operating across retail, wholesale, property, energy and music, is seeking an experienced Inventory Manager. You will be responsible for the accuracy, integrity and control of inventory across its retail, wholesale and warehouse operations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all stock‑control activities, including delivery notices, receipt of goods and verification of incoming inventory.
• Monitor and maintain optimal stock levels to ensure product availability across all locations.
• Develop, implement and maintain inventory control policies, procedures and stock‑taking processes.
• Ensure timely and accurate stock‑takes, investigate variances and resolve discrepancies.
• Collaborate with Finance, Supply Chain, Warehouse and Retail teams to improve stock availability, minimise losses and manage slow‑moving or obsolete inventory.
• Conduct performance reviews and support training and development of the stock control team.

Required profile

• Degree in Business (Accounting or Finance preferred) or equivalent extensive experience.
• At least 10 years of stock controlling or inventory analysis experience in large retail and wholesale organisations.
• Strong analytical capability combined with practical operational experience.
• Proactive approach to improving systems, controls and reporting.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Pronto applications.
