Investment Analyst

About the role

Kina Funds Management is seeking a highly motivated Investment Analyst to join the Research & Analysis team. Reporting to the Manager, Research & Analysis, you will support the management and analysis of a diverse portfolio of domestic and international assets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate listed and unlisted equities, property, and other asset classes.
• Conduct valuations using DCF, earnings‑based methods, and comparable market analysis.
• Analyse investment proposals, business plans, financial statements, and related documentation.
• Prepare investment recommendations and reports for client committees and boards.
• Support due‑diligence activities, coordinating commercial, financial, operational, and legal assessments.
• Monitor portfolio performance, analysing returns, risks, and market developments.
• Produce regular asset reviews, valuation updates, and performance analyses.
• Research economic trends, industry sectors, and domestic/international financial markets.
• Assist in managing fixed‑income investments such as Treasury Bills and Government Inscribed Stock.
• Prepare investment, market, and management reports for internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Finance, Economics or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in investment analysis, funds management, banking, corporate finance or a similar role within a licensed financial institution.
• Strong analytical and valuation skills with a solid understanding of financial markets and regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and report‑writing abilities.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong capabilities in Microsoft Word.
• Strong capabilities in Microsoft PowerPoint.
