Learning & Development Officer

About the role

The Learning & Development Officer will support capacity building, staff orientation, and employee engagement initiatives for World Vision Papua New Guinea.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate policy information sessions, in‑house training programs and monthly Learning & Reflection events.
• Coordinate new employee inductions and ensure orientation within the first three months.
• Maintain accurate training records, manage external training provider information and track mandatory online trainings.
• Assist the L&D Coordinator with talent management, succession planning and career path planning.
• Support performance management processes, including PFP guidance, audit documentation and Christian activity coordination.
• Provide employee relations support, prepare disciplinary documentation and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 2–3 years experience in Human Resources, Training or Employee Relations.
• PNG HR Professional certification.
• Strong understanding of HR management functions and processes.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent oral and written English communication.
• Good facilitation and presentation abilities.
