Manager Research & Analysis

About the role

Kina Funds Management (KFM) is seeking a high‑performing professional to lead its Investment Analyst team. Reporting to the Head of Investments, the Manager Research & Analysis will drive investment research, financial modelling and portfolio monitoring for large institutional clients in Papua New Guinea.

Key responsibilities

• Lead research across domestic and international markets, covering equities, property and fixed‑income assets.
• Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models and valuation frameworks.
• Assess investment proposals, conduct due‑diligence and prepare recommendations for client committees.
• Oversee portfolio reviews, performance analysis and risk assessments.
• Maintain market research databases and analytical tools.
• Mentor and develop a team of Investment Analysts, fostering a culture of excellence.
• Build and maintain relationships with client boards, regulators and industry stakeholders.

Required profile

• University degree in Finance, Economics, Commerce, Business or a related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in investment analysis, funds management, corporate finance, banking or related fields.
• Strong knowledge of financial markets, investment instruments and regulatory environments.
• Proven leadership and people‑management capabilities.
• Excellent analytical, presentation and communication skills.
