Marine Superintendent – Lead LNG Project Fleet Operations

About the role

Easy Skill is seeking a Marine Superintendent to lead tug, workboat and barge operations for a flagship LNG development in Papua New Guinea. You will own fleet‑level marine operations, ensure vessel compliance, and act as the primary marine interface with the project operator.

Key responsibilities

• Plan voyages, manage transit windows, schedule the fleet and coordinate berths on river and shallow‑water routes.
• Oversee vessel assurance, including OVID and OCIMF inspections, audits and enforcement of marine HSE standards.
• Lead incident investigations and emergency response for marine operations.
• Represent the contractor to the operator’s marine organisation, maintaining credibility and judgement under pressure.

Required profile

• Background as Master or Chief Engineer with a valid (or recently lapsed) Certificate of Competency and at least 15 years of marine experience.
• Proven fleet‑level marine operations management for oil & gas or LNG projects, including voyage planning and fleet scheduling.
• Experience with vessel assurance (OVID/OCIMF) and enforcement of marine HSE standards.
• Direct client‑interface experience with a major LNG operator; experience in Papua New Guinea or the Pacific is a strong advantage.
• Demonstrated leadership in incident investigation and emergency response.
