PNG Sports Partnerships Specialist

About the role

The PNG Sports Partnerships Specialist will be based in GHD’s Port Moresby office and will support the Australian Government’s Team Up sport‑for‑development programme in Papua New Guinea. Reporting to the Team Up programme lead, the role provides technical advice, coordinates with the Australian High Commission and DFAT, and ensures delivery of monitoring, evaluation, reporting and learning activities.

Key responsibilities

• Assist PNG sport programmes to meet Team Up requirements in line with Australian Government aid guidelines.
• Liaise with the Australian High Commission in Port Moresby and DFAT in Canberra on all matters related to Team Up, facilitating communication between partners.
• Produce and manage monitoring, evaluation, reporting and learning (MERL) deliverables, including data collection, analysis and drafting of progress reports.
• Support public diplomacy events and communications, preparing content and coordinating logistics.
• Organise and deliver capacity‑building workshops, learning events and program workshops for partners and stakeholders.
• Coordinate travel, workshop and event logistics for Team Up activities in PNG.
• Assist with internal procurement documentation as required.

Required profile

• Minimum 3‑5 years’ experience in sport, international development or aid programmes.
• Demonstrated ability to work with government agencies and multi‑stakeholder partnerships.
• Strong analytical and report‑writing capabilities.
• Excellent organisational skills and experience coordinating events and logistics.
