Project Manager – Capital Works (Papua New Guinea)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead capital works across Papua New Guinea. This senior, hands‑on position will oversee civil infrastructure, construction, and building projects from concept and design through to completion and handover.

Key responsibilities

• Manage capital works projects from initial concept to final handover.
• Prepare CAPEX proposals, budgets, cost estimates and Bill of Quantities.
• Develop and review design concepts, drawings and specifications.
• Lead consultants, contractors and subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee tendering, procurement and contract administration.
• Control project schedules, variations, risks, quality and safety.
• Ensure compliance with PNG building codes and required approvals.
• Coordinate multiple concurrent projects across diverse PNG locations.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or a related field.
• 10+ years of relevant project experience, preferably in PNG, the Pacific or similar environments.
• Strong background in capital works, civil infrastructure or construction.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, consultants and contractors.
• Commercial acumen and stakeholder management capability.
