Safeguards Coordinator

About the role

The Safeguards Coordinator will support DT Global Asia Pacific’s People & Culture team in strengthening and monitoring safeguarding systems across the Asia Pacific region. This position focuses on implementing DFAT safeguarding policies, including Child Protection and Protection from Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Harassment (PSEAH), while applying survivor‑centred, trauma‑informed, and Do No Harm approaches.

Key responsibilities

• Provide administrative and coordination support for safeguarding activities and reporting.
• Assist in the development, delivery, and tracking of training, workshops, and capacity‑building sessions.
• Support partner engagement, program delivery, and project implementation to ensure compliance with safeguarding standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation, monitor actions, and follow up on safeguarding issues.
• Handle sensitive information with discretion, ensuring confidentiality and data security.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification in social sciences, international development, gender studies, community development, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in coordination, administration, or support roles within development or donor‑funded programs.
• Understanding of safeguarding principles, including Child Protection, PSEAH, and Do No Harm.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for diverse stakeholder interaction.
