Site Engineer – Infrastructure (Lae, PNG)

About the role

The Site Engineer, Infrastructure will provide day‑to‑day technical oversight and supervision of construction and infrastructure projects that support law and justice agencies across Morobe Province. The role ensures that works are delivered in line with approved designs, technical specifications, contract requirements, applicable standards, project schedules, and health, safety, environmental and safeguarding obligations.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and supervise construction and infrastructure works on site.
• Verify that all activities comply with approved designs, specifications and standards.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, government counterparts and other stakeholders.
• Identify and resolve technical and implementation issues promptly.
• Track contractor performance and report progress, quality, risks and emerging issues.
• Prepare accurate and timely reports to support decision‑making.

Required profile

• Qualified PNG national with relevant engineering credentials.
• Experience in construction and infrastructure project supervision.
• Strong understanding of health, safety, environmental and safeguarding requirements.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multiple partners and stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.
