Trade Investment Analyst

About the role

The Trade Investment Analyst will support British American Tobacco Papua New Guinea by tracking investment activities, analysing performance, and delivering actionable insights to optimise trade spend across customers, channels and regions.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and report on all trade investment activities to ensure effectiveness and efficiency.
• Analyse value optimisation, investment versus sales and pricing for each customer, channel and region.
• Collaborate with the National Sales team and other stakeholders to gather data for reporting.
• Produce regular operational status reports for line managers (daily, weekly, monthly).
• Develop and maintain standard and ad‑hoc reports that meet business requirements.
• Continuously improve reporting processes in line with commercial strategies.
• Provide accurate, timely data for sales and investment evaluation.
• Recommend enhancements to reporting solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business or Business Information.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in marketing, administration, executive support or a similar role.
• Prior experience in a reporting function with responsibility for report generation.
• Ability to extract data from multiple sources and maintain data consistency.
• Understanding of sales processes and trade program principles is an advantage.
