Business Development & Export Manager

About the role

Paradise Foods Limited, PNG’s leading food manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Business Development & Export Manager to drive growth in both domestic and international markets. You will lead market expansion initiatives, build strategic partnerships, and manage export operations to increase revenue across the product portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new commercial opportunities to drive revenue growth and market expansion.
• Develop strategies to strengthen domestic distribution and establish new international export markets.
• Build and maintain relationships with distributors, retailers, key accounts and international partners.
• Coordinate end‑to‑end export operations, including order processing, pricing, shipment and delivery.
• Prepare business proposals, negotiate contracts, pricing and trading terms, including export pricing in US dollars.
• Analyse market trends, competitor activities and customer demands to identify growth opportunities.
• Develop business plans, achieve sales targets and monitor revenue growth across domestic and export markets.
• Represent Paradise Foods at international trade shows, exhibitions and industry events.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Marketing, Commerce, Economics or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in business development, commercial management, sales or strategic partnerships.
• Proven track record of converting opportunities into measurable commercial results.
• Strong understanding of domestic and international market development and commercial negotiations.
• Knowledge of export operations, international trade practices and foreign currency pricing.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and business reporting tools.
• Strong analytical, communication, presentation and negotiation abilities.
• Excellent organisational, planning and problem‑solving skills.
