Senior Manager Procurement & Contract Management

About the role

Westpac PNG is seeking a senior leader to drive procurement and contract management across its Pacific operations. Reporting to the Executive Manager – Property, Corporate Services & Procurement, you will shape strategy, strengthen governance and deliver value‑for‑money outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement and contract management strategies aligned with organisational objectives.
• Lead complex, high‑value procurement activities including strategic sourcing, tender processes and category management.
• Oversee contract administration, strategic supplier relationships and contract performance.
• Identify and manage procurement, supplier, commercial and contractual risks, ensuring probity and compliance.
• Lead and develop the Procurement and Contract Management teams while building effective relationships with executives and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Significant senior‑level experience in procurement and contract management.
• In‑depth knowledge of strategic sourcing, tender processes and supplier management.
• Proven experience in contract negotiation, commercial risk management and handling high‑value, complex contracts.
• Strong leadership, team development, stakeholder engagement and influencing capability.
• Understanding of procurement legislation, policies and compliance requirements.
