About the role
SMEC is seeking a highly experienced Senior Engineer (Roads) to join a major road infrastructure project in Papua New Guinea. The role provides specialist technical leadership across all project phases, from planning to asset management.
Key responsibilities
- Lead development of road and highway designs, pavement engineering solutions, and geometric design.
- Conduct road safety assessments, coordinate drainage, and devise rehabilitation strategies.
- Provide construction support and supervision, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards.
- Guide project teams and support project managers to meet delivery objectives.
Required profile
- Master's or bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline.
- Extensive experience in road and highway engineering.
- Strong communication skills in English.
- Open to male or female candidates.
