Senior Project Coordinator – Strongim Wok Long TVET

About the role

The Senior Project Coordinator will provide cross‑pillar support to implement and deliver a range of activities for the Strongim Wok Long Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) program in Papua New Guinea. Working under the senior leadership team and in consultation with technical advisers and partners, the role ensures smooth execution of project components.

Key responsibilities

• Support technical leads in engaging with PNG government counterparts, DFAT, technical partners and consultants for activity design, consultation and delivery.
• Lead the preparation of concept notes, terms of reference, briefing papers, draft deliverables and other outputs from scoping through approval.
• Maintain program trackers, delivery schedules and workplans to enable effective decision‑making.
• Identify delivery risks and bottlenecks across activities and work with technical leads on mitigation actions.
• Monitor alignment between approved budgets, scopes of work and delivery progress across multiple activities.
• Support the organization and follow‑up of steering committees, technical advisory groups, coordination forums, workshops and consultations.
• Collaborate with procurement and finance managers on activity procurement processes, including scoping, scheduling and documentation.
• Assist technical leads and the Operations Senior Coordinator with managing project documentation and reporting.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in project coordination or management, preferably in the education or TVET sector.
• Demonstrated ability to work with government agencies, international donors and technical partners.
• Strong organisational and analytical skills to track multiple workstreams and mitigate risks.
• Excellent communication skills for preparing briefing materials and facilitating stakeholder meetings.
