Apprentice Electrician – Elevators & Escalators

About the role

Join Otis as an Apprentice Electrician and receive hands‑on training in the servicing, repair and maintenance of elevators and escalators. You will rotate between service and repair teams, gaining exposure to both electrical and mechanical aspects of lift systems while developing strong customer‑service skills.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine servicing and preventive maintenance on elevators and escalators.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults.
• Assist senior technicians on complex repair projects.
• Rotate between service and repair departments to broaden technical knowledge.
• Interact with customers to ensure safe and reliable operation of lift equipment.

Required profile

• Completed or completing Certificate II in Electrotechnology (Career Start).
• Minimum Year 10 school certificate or equivalent.
• Self‑starter with a passion for innovation and a willingness to learn.
• Previous experience in the elevator industry is an advantage.
• Strong interest in building a long‑term career in the elevator sector.
