Area Sales Executive

About the role

The Area Sales Executive is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Port Moresby, responsible for managing and growing sales within an assigned territory for Hugo Canning’s food and seafood products.

Key responsibilities

• Visit retailers and distributors, present product offerings and negotiate pricing and promotions.
• Monitor stock levels and ensure optimal product visibility and placement in stores.
• Track sales performance, prepare regular reports and identify opportunities for market expansion.
• Collaborate with marketing and logistics teams to coordinate promotions and resolve service issues.

Required profile

• Proven experience in field sales, account management or FMCG sales, preferably in food or consumer goods.
• Strong customer relationship management, negotiation and territory planning skills.
• Ability to analyse sales data, prepare reports and use insights to drive growth.
• Solid communication and interpersonal abilities, self‑motivated and organized.
• Familiarity with the Port Moresby and PNG retail/wholesale markets is an advantage.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
• Certificate or diploma in Business, Marketing, Sales or related field preferred.
