About the role

The organisation is a leading, regulated financial services provider seeking a visionary Chief Executive Officer to drive the next phase of strategic growth, innovation and operational excellence in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the organisation's long‑term strategic direction.
• Drive sustainable revenue, profitability and enterprise‑value growth.
• Lead a high‑performing Executive Leadership Team.
• Strengthen governance, risk management and regulatory compliance.
• Build productive relationships with the Board, regulators, shareholders and key stakeholders.
• Champion digital transformation, operational efficiency and customer‑focused innovation.
• Develop future leadership capability and foster a high‑performance culture.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Finance, Banking, Commerce, Business, Economics or related field; postgraduate qualifications (MBA, CA, CPA) highly regarded.
• Minimum 15 years’ experience in banking or financial services, including 7+ years in a senior executive role such as CEO, Deputy CEO or Country Head.
• Proven ability to lead complex, regulated financial institutions while delivering strong commercial outcomes.
• Extensive experience working with Boards, regulators and executive teams.
• Strong commercial acumen across lending, profitability, capital, liquidity, risk and governance.
• Track record of leading strategic change, business transformation and organisational growth.
• Exceptional leadership, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
